The Grace Hotel was pleased to welcome long-time guest Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism, back to the hotel on his most recent visit last week.
During his visit, Senator Farrell met with The Grace Hotel’s General Manager, Andrew Allen, and Director of Sales and Marketing, Feroza Saleem-Martin. It was an opportunity to discuss the hotel’s longstanding place in Sydney, its contemporary accommodation offering and the recent redevelopment of its conference and event facilities.
As a long-time guest, Senator Farrell has developed a valued connection with The Grace Hotel over many visits. The team is honoured that he continues to choose the hotel when travelling to Sydney and appreciates the opportunity to welcome him back each time.
The conversation reflected on The Grace Hotel’s rich history, with its origins dating back to the late 1920s. Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, the heritage-listed building remains one of the city’s most recognisable examples of Neo-Gothic architecture and Art-Deco interiors. Senator Farrell was also introduced to the hotel’s latest developments, including the recent transformation of its conference and event spaces. The redevelopment has brought a renewed level of sophistication, flexibility and modern functionality to the hotel’s collection of meeting and event rooms, while remaining respectful of the building’s heritage setting. The recently refurbished spaces have since received industry recognition (Winner of Best New or Redeveloped Venue), reflecting the care, planning and investment behind the project. Today, they provide an award-winning setting for conferences, corporate meetings, functions and special events in the centre of Sydney.

Although he was unable to join the photograph taken last week, The Grace Hotel’s Chief Concierge and recent Concierge of the Year winner, Dean McWhinney, also welcomed Senator Farrell and enjoyed catching up with him during the visit. Dean has come to know Senator Farrell through his stays at the hotel, and their conversations are another example of the personal connections built between the hotel team and its returning guests.
